World's Most Beautiful Coin

I know it's been a long time since I don't write a thing around here and even more time since last time I did it in English. Anyways, I was reading the news and I was surprised to read an article about the 25th meeting of the World's Coin Hauses where they vote for the new most beautiful coin of the next two years until a new voting is made.

This year a mexican coin was selected. It is a coin made of pure silver and represents the Aztec calendar and the different coat arms that have been used throughout mexican history. The recognition of this coin was made in Busan, Korea last May 15th.



There is no doubt about the complexity for producing this coin (Piedra de los Soles) and its beauty. Moreover, this article made me remember about a coin that is not silver-made but has a lot of symbolisms, at least for the football fans.


This is the commemorative 1986's worldcup coin. I want to share this coin with you since I'm sure you'll remember this coin and for those who have never seen it, to take a look at this interesting coin. The coin was around mexican currency during the second half of the eighties and was gradually gone but one can still find it around in collector's houses and an antiques markets. By the way, the picture of the coin is self made and I proudly keep a couple of them. Finally, here's a video of one of the best goals ever scored and was performed during Mexico's 1986 worldcup. De Atajos y Blackberries, que ASCO!!!

Normalmente los estereotipos se generan a partir de la imagen, contacto y experiencias que cierta sociedad adquiere y/o percibe de otra sociedad. De tal modo, se generalizan dichos comportamientos asignándolos a todos los demás miembros de cierta sociedad ajena. De lo que quiero "bloggear" hoy es sobre dos hechos recientes relacionados con políticos mexicanos. Uno muy conocido, Roberto Madrazo, y el otro nada conocido pero ya con expediente en la "justicia" gringa, Rafael Quintero Curiel. Desafortunadamente estas personas han ayudado a que se reafirme el maldito estereotipo del mexicano corrupto y ladrón principalmente.

Tal vez ya saben a dónde voy, de todas formas, sigamos. Resulta que a estos singulares políticos mexicanos no les ha bastado con ser rateros, mafiosos y corruptos en México, sino que cuando salen de México lo confirman. Creen que fuera de México pueden engañar a la gente tan fácil como lo hacen en nuestro país, ILUSOS! Además de que al intentar engañar, robar y comportarse como si estuvieran en México, lo hacen tan mal que al final nos da una infinita VERGÜENZA (por lo menos a mi sí) cuando son descubiertos porque esa es la cara que México está presentando ante el mundo. Dónde queda la riqueza cultural mexicana? las tradiciones ancestrales de nuestras civilizaciones prehispánicas? nuestros premios Nobel? nuestros artístas, profesionistas, trabajadores y demás gente valiosa de nuestro país?

Aquí les dejo las historias de nuestros mediocres políticos referidos con anterioridad, para que no se nos olvide como tantas otras cosas que quieren que "olvidemos".
